Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to me. In this policy I explain what information is collected when you browse the site or contact me through it, why it is used, and what your rights are. The policy was written in accordance with the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, and its regulations.
Who is responsible for the data
The site is operated by Lilach Ben Aharon, who works in website design and video creation ("I"). For any privacy question you can contact me:
What information is collected
Information you provide in the contact form: Name, phone number, area of interest (website, video or both) and a short description of the project, if you chose to write one. You are not legally required to provide the information, but without a name and phone number I cannot get back to you.
How the form works: When you click "Send", the details are not stored on the site and are not sent to its server. They are transferred into a ready-made message in your WhatsApp app, and are sent to me only if you confirm sending the message in WhatsApp. From the moment of sending, the message is also subject to the privacy policy of WhatsApp (Meta).
Direct contact: If you contacted me by email, phone or WhatsApp, I will receive the details you provided in that contact.
Technical information: The site is hosted on the Vercel service. Like most hosting services, Vercel may record basic technical information about the visit, such as the IP address, browser type and access time, for security and service operation purposes.
Why the information is used
- To get back to you following your inquiry, understand your need and offer a quote.
- To manage our engagement, if you choose to work with me.
- To keep the site working properly and secure.
I will not use your details to send promotional mailings without your explicit consent, and I will not sell them to anyone.
Cookies and external services
The site itself does not use cookies for tracking, advertising or statistics. However, the site uses external services that may collect information according to their own privacy policies:
- YouTube: Videos are embedded in "enhanced privacy" mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The video preview images are loaded from YouTube servers, and when a video is played, YouTube may collect information according to Google's policy.
- WhatsApp: When you click the contact buttons.
- Instagram: When you click the link to the Instagram page.
- Client websites: The links to the sites I built lead to external sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Transfer of data outside Israel
Some of the services the site relies on store and process information on servers outside Israel, mainly in the United States and the European Union: the Vercel hosting service (technical information about the visit), WhatsApp by Meta (the message you send), and YouTube by Google (when a video is played or a preview image is loaded). Using the site and the contact buttons involves this transfer, and these services operate according to their own privacy policies.
Retention and security
Details of an inquiry that did not become a joint project are kept with me for up to 12 months from the last contact, and then deleted. Details of clients I worked with are kept for as long as the law requires, for example for bookkeeping purposes. I take reasonable measures to protect the information, but absolute protection against intrusion or unauthorized use cannot be guaranteed.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Protection Law, you may ask to review the information held about you, and ask to correct or delete it if it is incorrect, incomplete or out of date. To exercise your rights, contact me using the details above. I will reply to the request within 30 days at the most. If you do not receive a reply, or you are not satisfied with it, you may contact the Privacy Protection Authority.
Changes to the policy
I may update the policy from time to time. The updated version will always be published on this page, with the date of the last update.
